Artist's Manifesto from Middle School student

I’ve always loved kid’s art, and recently saw an exhibition at our local community college. All ages were represented.

Here is an artist’s manifesto from a girl in middle school, Alexandra Scott. I think it’s a wonderful piece–it inspires me once again with the bravery kids and young adults have when they make art. I’ve always been drawn to making art, whether it is “food art” which I did for a long time, or collage and conceptual art and writing, which I’m beginning to explore again now. Art and love are the two things that endure in life, which is probably why they both help us become the best we can be. Sally forth, artists of the world, and thank you for being here in these troubled times.
