Laura Bruno on Women’s Voices May 11 Wednesday, May 6 2009

laura-bruno1Join me on Monday, May 11 at 7:00 PM PST on www.KZYX.org for an interview with Laura Bruno, author of If I Only Had a Brain Injury, The Lazy Raw Foodist’s Guide, and a forthcoming novel, Schizandra and the Gates of Mu. Laura recovered from a traumatic brain injury and now inspires others as a life coach, medical intuitive and Reiki Master Teacher. Suffering from migraine headaches after her brain injury,  Laura tapped into her ability to “read” in other ways. She began to feel people’s energetic fields and used her heightened intuition to access the mental, emotional, and spiritual patterns affecting their physical health. Over the years, Laura has helped people with cancer, addictions, endocrine imbalances, grief, infections, fibromyalgia, stroke, and weight loss. Specialties include diet and herbal remedies, menopause, animal communication, spiritual issues, illnesses that baffle doctors, and dream interpretation. In addition to teaching Reiki certification classes for novices and Master Teachers, Laura works as a medical intuitive, energy healer, and life coach. She also assists entrepreneurs in clarifying what gifts and services they can offer the world. Laura spends her free time painting, practicing yoga and meditation, and writing fiction.

Sunflower in Sunny Puerto Rico

Sunflower in Sunny Puerto Rico

My friend Maria Suarez has been teaching raw foods in Puerto Rico for more than seven years now. One of her proudest accomplishments is creating the “Society for Roving Gardeners” to teach urban dwellers how to grow sprouts, fresh vegetables, and fruits on their patios, rooftops, and in their kitchens right in the city. Maria teaches classes in both Spanish and English. She’s appeared in newspaper articles, on the radio, and on TV. She’s made a tremendous impact in a country that loves fast food. She’s about to release a new book on sprouting. Stay tuned here for more information! www.organica3.com

The queen of sprouts!

The queen of sprouts!

Sunflowers have always been my favorite sprout. If you believe that the energy of the majestic sunflower is present in the babies–you are right. Not only do sunflower sprouts taste delicious, they are nutrient dense powerhouses that energize and cleanse at the same time. Add them to green juice for a turbocharge.
